NOTE: This is a short-term appointment until 31 December 2016 with a possibility of short-term extension subject to availability of funds.

The incumbent will provide programmatic, administrative and logistical support to the National Programme Officers in charge of the political overview and implementation of relevant programmatic activities in the Temporary Premises (TP) Stolac.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Specific duties include:

Researching and preparing background information in response to particular inquiries from the supervisor;
Assisting the supervisor in monitoring, information gathering and early warning related to the local elections;
Assisting in preparing reports on political developments and informing supervisor on programmatic developments and needs in the area;
In co-operation with the supervisor, co-ordinating and supporting the implementation of the Mission activities;
Drafting correspondence in English, preparing summaries of relevant documents and helping with other administrative duties;
Providing general office support including secretarial and clerical tasks as may be required by the supervisor;
Performing other duties as assigned.

O zaposleniku

Znanja i kvalifikacije:Necessary Qualifications

Completed secondary education supplemented by formal studies/training in secretarial, administrative or social science;
Minimum four years relevant working experience in a national organisation, NGO or international agency;
Basic knowledge of human dimension programmatic activities;
Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft packages;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and local language;
Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds;
Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.
Remuneration Package
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 2,298.08 BAM/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions
