The role: Procurement Officer, based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Procurement Officer is responsible for the implementation of the country office’s day to day procurement activities, making sure they are carried out diligently, in a transparent manner, in compliance with the procurement manual and within donor’s rules and regulations. The post holder is responsible for making sure that all procurement activities are fully and accurately documented, and the procurement reports are submitted on time and in the form and template required by donors.

This position is also responsible for providing logistic support to programs/projects to implement their planned activities, particularly in the area of fleet management and warehousing.

The post holder is responsible for providing regular/daily capacity building and support to program managers, budget holders and implementing partners on matters related to procurement and logistics policies and best practices.

Znanja i kvalifikacije:
Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor Degree in Finance or Business Administration;
Extensive and substantive procurement experiences may be considered in lieu of a Degree;
Good knowledge of procurement guidelines of different donor agencies (EC, USAID, etc.);
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of managing a fleet, stock and inventory;
Proven ability to work effectively with partner organisations and other stakeholders;
Team player who is able to work collaboratively and with people of diverse backgrounds;
A high level of written and spoken English;
Ability and willingness to change work practices and hours, and work with incoming teams in the event of major emergencie

Contract length: 12 months including obligatory probation period with possibility of extension
