What does it take to be successful in this role?
Infobip is a global provider of mobile messaging and payments, serving 150.000+ business clients through 32 offices on 6 continents. We are connecting mobile network operators and enterprises through an in-house developed and operated mobile services cloud.
Here is what the first year will be like:
• As a Linux Engineer you will be responsible for Linux servers and applications in the production environment.
• Linux Engineer is responsible for handling and monitoring the system to ensure 24/7 availability of Infobip’s services as well as creating and updating technical documentation. Also, you’ll be monitoring the on-going processes and procedures in the IT department/industry and be relied upon for improvement suggestions. We expect that you take proactive ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
Our platform is a high performance SOA built on Java EE/SE and Spring with an SQL Server as a data layer. It is designed to be scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant.

Znanja i kvalifikacije:
Desired skills and experience:
• Basic coding skills in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Ruby...).
• At least 2 years of experience with Linux administration (preferably CentOS / Red Hat or Debian).
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and network architecture.
• Knowledge of at least some of the mentioned services / tools: Git, Apache2, HAProxy, BIND9, Elasticsearch, Graphite, Nagios.
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Experience with alerting and monitoring tools.
• Experience with configuration management (ie. Ansible, Chef or Puppet) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Windows administration is a plus.
• LPI, RHCSA and/or CCNA certificates will be considered as advantage.
• Education in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Highly motivated and proactive candidate with ability to work within the team.
• Flexibility to attend specialization training and education in Pula/Zagreb, Croatia (accommodation and travel expenses are covered).
• Curiosity, talent and willingness to learn new technologies and solve interesting problems.
• Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Good command of English language.
