TRANSPORT SPECIALIST (m/f)

Job Description
Managing transport service delivery operation to ensure successful delivery of customer orders;
To control all transport related costs; to ensure that the transport operation is legally compliant; to deliver excellent service for our customers; to lead and motivate a team of supervisors and drivers;
Ensure effective communication with internal departments resolving all operational issues;
Manage and motivate team of supervisors and drivers to deliver company's service, cost and compliance objectives;
Manage vehicle routing processes at minimum cost to successfully deliver customer requirements;
Transport technical and operational knowledge and experience; experience and ability to manage a large team of drivers in a fast-moving operational environment;
Analyze transportation costs, identify cost optimization possibilities in the spheres of transport organization and transport pricing.

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have strong shared user Transport experience and the capability to progress further in the organisation. Other key aspects of the successful candidate will include:
• Excellent Transport knowledge, both operationally and commercially with a focus on the markets of western Europe (mainly Germany)
• Strong influencing skills both internally and externally.
• Excellent people engagement skills
• An innovative approach to transport operations
• Knowledge of warehouse management and customs procedures (BiH and EU)
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft excel (v-look-ups + Pivot tables)
• Able to think strategically as well as tactically
• Prior experience in transport organization in the furniture or automotive industry
