Opis radnog mjesta:
Roma Health Project Manager

EPHA is recruiting a Project Manager for Roma health (full time).

EPHA is seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to manage Roma Health projects and to support EPHA’s policy work on health inequalities. The position requires a skill set that combines excellent organisation and delivery of international projects, research skills and effective communication in a multi-lingual team.

We offer the chance to join a growing international network of organisations campaigning for improving population health in Europe by reducing health inequalities and to help shape policies with huge implications for public health in Europe and beyond.

The successful candidate will have a solid track record in the management of international, especially EU funded, projects. Preference will given to applicants from Roma communities.

About EPHA
EPHA is a change agent – Europe’s leading NGO advocating for better health. We are a dynamic member-led organisation, made up of 90 public health NGOs, patient groups, health professionals and disease groups.

EPHA’s vision
Our vision is of a Europe with universal good health and well-being, where all have access to a sustainable and high quality health system: A Europe whose policies and practices contribute to health, both within and beyond its borders.

About the role
The project manager will ensure EPHA’s Roma health actions grow to their full potential alongside its members, including the efficient implementation of EPHA’s projects. The project manager will therefore work with EPHA’s Roma health network, including Roma Health Fellows in decision-making and ensure implementation of decisions and coordination of actions, as well as capacity-building of pro Roma civil society. The project manager will strengthen EPHA’s Roma Health network by leading on organisational and administrative tasks, effective planning and implementation of the relevant projects and undertake some policy and advocacy responsibilities to complement Roma Health fellows’ activities.

We anticipate this role developing as the EPHA’s Roma Health actions develop, with the post holder and EPHA’s Roma Health network shaping future priorities and responsibilities, particularly after campaign working group and annual EPHA decision-making meetings.

This will be a full time role, initially under a one-year contract. Overarching direction and role objectives will come from policy coordinators, Roma Health Fellows’ mentors under the ultimate supervision of EPHA’s Secretary-General.
