Position

Reporting to the COO and serving as a member of the Management Team, this position's primary responsibility is implementing and ensuring organizational effectiveness throughout the organization's processes in the diverse functions, ensuring the organization´s procurement, project management and DQM.
The Manager for Organization Unit also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. S/hewill be in charge of and manage the organizational activities within the organization. Thus the Manager forOrganization Unit will be responsible for enhancing the internal organization processes and infrastructure that will contribute to meet the organization´s strategic goals. In addition to the strategic components, the Manager forOrganization Unit will contribute to developing and implementing efficient and effective systems to increase the productivity of the organization.
The role requires effective and inspiring leadership skill and ability by being actively involved in major projects, developing an organization-wide basis for operational excellence. Attention is given to a necessary change management, focusing on process improvement, implementing a continuous quality improvement process throughout the diverse areas of the organization, and contributing to develop a performance culture within the organization.
Additional advantage would be a sound knowledge and demonstrated experience in process and project management, procurement as well as in DQM.

Responsibilities in general

  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, enhance business process and organizational planning, support better management reporting, information flow and management.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services and business functions, through process improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
  • Play a significant role in long-term organizational planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.

Responsibilities by Function
Organizational Effectiveness

  • Manage organizational functions.
  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through process improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functions.
  • Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Providing consulting services on matters related to process-and project management, insurance questions, and business structure and growth.

Organizational Leadership

  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.

Risk Management

  • Oversee organizational insurance policies.

Financial Management

  • Direct annual budgeting and planning process for the organization unit
  • Develop and manage annual organizational budget
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's performance against budget and operational goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in organizational management
  • Strong background and work experience in process management
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, LoNo, and access
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of government contract management, knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and process management implementing best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Budget development and oversight experience
  • Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view
  • Persuasive with details and facts.
