System Engineer/Support Engineer
As a Systems Engineer, your mission will be to ensure ZIRA products are always fast, available, scalable, and engineered to withstand required demand.
The most successful candidates for this role will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, solid communication skills and a desire to tackle the complex problems of scale:
• Understanding of operating systems concept and work (process, thread, scheduling, memory management, virtual memory, swapping, paging, I/O, file systems, networking)
• Working experience with at least two of following operating systems: Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris
• Knowledge in writing shell scripts
• Experience in working with Oracle software solutions: installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting (Database and Middleware tier)
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of enterprise Java J2EE platform (standards, specifications, API, Certified application servers )
• Problem solving skills under various sorts of constraints
• The ability to work constructively with other people and be a contributor in a team environment

• Ensuring availability, performance, security and maintainability of deployed ZIRA solutions both locally and on customer sites
• Monitoring and maintenance of Operating systems and dealing with all sorts of problems and errors
• Administrating and customizing applications on Database and Middleware tier
• Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing server environments
• Creating and customizing backup procedures
• Installing and configuring new hardware and software
• Administer and customize security and user management
• Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system
• Troubleshooting any reported problems
• System performance tuning
• Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running
