Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Context
IOM has been engaged in the prevention of violent extremism in the Western Balkans since September 2015. Through an ongoing collaboration with the USAID, the UK Government and the Italian Embassy in Sarajevo, IOM is working with young leaders, parents and community actors to strengthen young peoples’ resilience and engagement within their communities.
The project offers parents, teachers and other authority figures, such as local police officers and religious leaders, adapted capacity building workshops that aim to provide them with the tools and skills to recognize and act upon first signs of (potential) radicalization. IOM will now assist local level institutions such as centers for social work and centers for mental health to support the work of the community in overall prevention of the negative behavior among the youth and provision of adequate and tailored assistance.
Core Functions/Responsibilities
Selected candidate will occupy a social pedagogue position at the Center for social work in Bužim (the Center) and will perform duties as per the Rulebook and Systematization established at the Center.

University diploma, VII degree, 240 ECTS in Pedagogy/Psychology;
BiH citizenship;
Knowledge of English language will be considered as an asset;
Computer literacy;
Valid driving license;
Willingness and ability to conduct travel across the country.
