Position Title: Monitoring Consultant for Training on Prevention of Violent Extremism for Parents and Practitioners
Duty Station: Bosnia and Herzegovina wide

Purpose of the consultancy:
On behalf of IOM, the consultant will be present and observe the implementation of the parent trainings with the purpose to monitor its delivery and reception, and other external factors that may affect the effectiveness and impact of the training.
Secondly, based on the monitoring and observations made during the parent trainings, the consultant will provide substantive input to a review/evaluation of the current training programme, including recommended adjustments.
Specific aspects of the training that will be of particular focus of the review/evaluation are the following:
Composition of the group of participants in terms of the ratio of professionals and parents
Composition of the group of participants in terms in ratio of male and females.
Gender analysis and integration (different roles of mothers and fathers) of the training programme’s substantive content and approach.
The focus on potential linkages and synergies with existing community structures and civil society
General functions:
Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, and under the overall supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission, the Consultant will work in close coordination with IOM staff, local coordinators (the Community Liaison Points) and the lead trainer, to be present at, and monitor, all parent trainings under the auspices of the project. Within that framework, the consultant will be responsible for:
Be present and represent IOM in all parent trainings;
Assist in any logistical preparations as necessary;
Assist in distributing and colleting evaluations as necessary;
Provide activity monitoring reports to the Project Coordinator/IOM Sarajevo on a regular basis; and,
Provide a consolidated report with general observations, lessons learned and recommendations to feed into the aforementioned training revision/evaluation.
The Consultant agrees on the following:
Carry out relevant duty travel within Bosnia and Herzegovina; and,
Conduct the above tasks in strict adherence to the confidentiality principles defined within the guidelines of IOM.

Znanja i kvalifikacije:
Qualifications:
University degree in psychology, social work or other related field.
10 years’ experience in social work, counselling, or in other similar field, in direct contact with end-beneficiaries.
Fluency in written and spoken BCS languages
Fluency in written and spoken English
Proven experience in report writing in English and BCS languages (samples required)
Proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Office
Competencies:
Understanding and knowledge of the local context in target communities;
Demonstration of cultural sensitiveness;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds;
Self-motivated and able to recommend constructive solutions to challenges;
Ability to work and deliver outputs under pressure;
Conduct the above tasks in strict adherence to the confidentiality principles defined within the guidelines of IOM.
