Manager - Communication and Media
Call For Manager - Communication and Media
Association “Progressive Reinforcement for Organizations and Individuals” (PROI) seeks Communication manager (1 position) for communication and advocacy activities as part of PROI’s tobacco control project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating news and visual content;
- Web page administration;
- Maintaining social media networks and profiles (Facebook pages, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter);
- Writing Press Releases, factsheets, feature stories
- Maintain lists and establish relationship with media;
- Coordinate communication with Partners;
- Develop and proactively recommend media strategies and opportunities;
- Monitor, evaluate and draw conclusions on impact from media coverage generated.
- Source, write and edit internal and external publications
- Develop and implement the annual communications plan & programme of multi-media activity
- Communication of key strategic issues to relevant stakeholders
- Formulate awareness campaigns and social media strategy
- Brand management
- Management of service providers
- Management of multi-media campaigns and initiatives across the organisation
- Management of communications budget & financial forecasting
- To continually investigate ways of influencing key targets through the media
- Travel to regional and global events
SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
- University degree in communication and/or journalism (you can apply if you currently pursuing Master’s degree);
- Very strong writing skills
- Experience in communications, media, or journalism, preferably in an NGO or media setting.
- Experience in writing for news media and magazines preferred
- Experience in editing and copy editing
- Experience in media relations
- Previous experience in social media marketing
- Previous experience with publications preferred
- Previous experience with online and offline campaigns preferred
- Ability to communicate information in an easy to understand, informative and collaborative manner
- Experience in training and capacity building
- Fluency in B/H/S and English
- High integrity and willingness to conduct her/himself transparently and open to scrutiny
- Strong commitment to tobacco control and smoke-free environment
