On behalf of our Client we are recruiting motivated candidates for the position of:
Driving Strategy Lead Calibration Engineer
Work Location: Baoding, China
Responsibilities:
1. Develop the transmission calibration features within Driving Strategy (Shift Point) calibration of a dual clutch transmission for conventional as well as hybrid powertrains, such as:
a. P4 High voltage PHEV (Plug‐in hybrid electric vehicle)
b. P4 48v HEV (hybrid electric vehicle)
c. 48v BSG MHEV (mild hybrid electric vehicle)
2. Responsible person for creating shift maps to meet GWM’s fuel consumption requirements, as well as and defining a good balance between Chinese market drivability and NVH demands.
3. Work with project leader and external suppliers to create Software Change Requests for continued improvement of the driving strategy software.
4. Weekly reporting to Senior Management on status of calibration.
5. Responsible for the activities and the results of the driving strategy section.
6. Developing of the technical skills of the driving strategy calibration section (supporting and mentoring less experienced team members).
7. Defining and Developing calibration and development processes.
8. Independent planning and performing of vehicle and test rig tests.
9. Independent evaluation of measurements and test results.
10. Planning & travel for hot, altitude, cold and hill related calibration and testing trips at various locations around China and worldwide.
11. Supporting software development team with specification and testing of new software features.
12. Resolve calibration concerns and customer complaints in the market.
13. Evaluation & benchmarking of different vehicles.

Znanja i kvalifikacije:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive,Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required, Masters degree preferred
3 ‐ 10 years of experience in transmission shift point or hybrid powertrain calibration. Preferred: Dual‐clutch transmissions with multiple modes and interfaces to consider.
3 ‐ 10 years of experience with vehicle calibration tools, e.g. CANape or INCA
Excellent driving skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills, able to multi‐task, prioritize, make timely decisions and detail oriented
Ability to work independently and travel for business trips.
Ability to train and lead young engineers
International experience preferred
Fluent English and/or Chinese. Being able to read business German is also preferable, but not necessary.
