DDC MLS is now looking for Customs Broker for Italian Language to join our team in Sarajevo and Banja Luka!

Customs broker for Italian language (m/f)

Let's talk about you!

  • You have proven experience in Microsoft Office Tools (Word i Excel)
  • You have proven experience in reading and understanding documentation written in English
  • You have excellent reading and grammar skills in Italian language
  • You have at least high school diploma
  • You have good communication skills
  • You have an ability to adopt fast within international team
  • You are able to work according the company's high quality standards
  • You are able to work in a busy environment
  • You are able to understand data confidentiality
  • You are able to work in shifts

These is going to be your key responsibilities:

  • Arrange for payment of, taxes and duties on shipments.
  • Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures.
  • Clear goods through customs and to their destinations for clients
  • Calculate duty and tariff payments owed on shipments.
  • Stay abreast of changes in import or export laws or regulations by reading current literature, attending meetings or conferences, or conferring with colleagues.
  • Request or compile necessary import documentation, such as customs invoices, certificates of origin, and cargo-control documents
  • Quote duty and tax rates on goods to be imported, based on federal tariffs and excise taxes.
  • Obtain line releases for frequent shippers of low-risk commodities, high-volume entries, or multiple-container loads.
  • Apply for tariff concessions or for duty drawbacks and other refunds.
  • Prepare papers for shippers to appeal duty charges.
  • Prepare regulatory or compliance documentation.
  • Operates an alphanumeric keyboard to transcribe data from a source document directly into a computer and verifies previously transcribed or entered data.
  • Determines the cause of error message while entering data and makes appropriate corrections.
  • Reports directly to the Team Lead
