Accountant

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager the candidate will be responsible for:

  • Processing and control transactions in the areas of financial accounting, bookkeeping, tax, billing, credit and collection, payroll, inventory control, imports & logistics
  • Payments transactions processing
  • Preparing and/or participating in the preparation of all necessary financial statements of the Company for reporting purposes to Authorities ( tax, statistics and other government filing )
  • Preparing wide set of financial reports for local and Group management according to the defined Reporting Timetable and ad hoc demands
  • Budgeting and Forecasting in collaboration with the General Manager
  • Participating in the implementation and ensuring the implementation of Group Financial Policies locally
  • Supporting External and Internal Audit and preparing and maintaining Group consolidation files

The Candidate

You are an ambitious individual combining strong finance background and attention to detail with business common sense and outstanding interpersonal skills. You want to be part of an international team where you will expand your experience and grow professionally in a demanding, fast-paced environment. In addition you have:

  • an Accounting or Economics High School or University Degree (VI or VII degree diploma)
  • at least 5 years of professional experience in the accounting department preferably within an international company (experience in an IT services company is a plus)
  • good working knowledge of local financial accounting report principles, local VAT, income tax, withholding tax, payroll and social security calculations and other local tax principles and practices
  • intermediate or advanced working knowledge of key business MS software applications (Excel, Word)
  • very good command of the English language
  • previous experience in trade logistics (customs, forwarding, LCs, physical warehouse)
  • excellent organizational, analytical, multi-tasking and interpersonal/communication skills

A title of Certified Accountant (CA) obtained under the Law on Accounting and Auditing in FB&H and working knowledge of JAPET accounting software will be considered as a plus.
